Violas in French Newsprint

Tuesday, April 6, 2010

It's been the usual rainy and gray weather here in Seattle today and I'm wishing for warm sunshine, ice tea and spring flowers on the patio.  I saw these potted violas wrapped up in french newsprint on frolic yesterday and thought about having a spring tea with friends.  Wouldn't these make beautiful gifts to give as well as pretty table centerpieces?

I love bouquets of flowers wrapped in newsprint, so this is a great idea for dressing up plastic pots! Saving this idea for future parties.

I have to agree with you and Alli, such a pretty yet simple idea. I really am desperate to mix up my flowers indoors now and as much as I love tulips I am ready for a change.

Wouldn't it be lovely to have a blogging friends Spring tea - we all seemed so ready for it to arrive!

I love this idea! You need to come for a visit to enjoy the sunshine here. I would love to make you iced tea outdoors near our newly planted flowers.

Cassie, A blogging friends spring tea sounds like a great idea, let's think some more on it and come up with something o.k.

Dee,
I'd love to be sitting in your backyard drinking ice tea and enjoying your newly planted flowers.

This definitely make great beautiful gifts and centerpieces. It is like something we take for granted for (newsprints) can actually doubled up as such great ideas.

so simple, yet a fun touch. i can't stand the cellophane stuff they usually put around flowers, so this is refreshing to see!
